The conference welcomed 100 participants and 13 speakers on 22nd January in the Renaissance in Brussels.

European Pari Mutuel operators have demonstrated the specificities and benefits of the Pari Mutuel system for betting: long-term funding and integrity. The European institutions have informed the participants of the ongoing debate on the issue of gambling and the possible options to set up in 2009. Many national regulations are also reformed. It is now clear that Gambling is back on the European political agenda
